The City of Red Lake Falls
2019 Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project Weekly Construction Update
Update #5 11/12/2019
The City of Red Lake Falls is committed to excellent Public Health and Safety through its Streets and Public Utilities, we are pleased to provide an update on the 2019 Street and Utility Improvements project.
Last week we saw the completion of all open cut sanitary sewer repairs and the contractor replaced multiple sanitary sewer manholes. All water service and sewer service replacement has been completed, except for the interested homeowners on Hamilton Avenue, which will take place in the spring.
Crews have been working to clean up the site and haul away extra equipment, in preparation for winter. Over the coming days and weeks, you will see less work going on as construction activity pauses for the winter and will resume in the spring.
The only work that is still slated to continue this fall/winter will be lining of the sanitary sewers. Expect to see sanitary sewer lining crews onsite this week to clean and televise the sewers, and they will then return in a few weeks to complete the actual lining of the sewers. We expect that this work being completed by the contractor will not require the closure of any streets, but please be look out for workers and their vehicles.
As always, the scheduled work may change due to inclement weather. For the safety of the workers and the public, we ask that you be mindful of the construction traffic and activities, and please keep a safe distance.
Best Regards, Dylan Brown PE, City Engineer 701-412-5136
