
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Red Lake Falls, Red Lake County, Minnesota was duly held in the Council Chambers of said City on the 22nd day of January, 2019.
Members Present: Allen Bertilrud, Justin Carriere, Kevin Brevik, Briana Ingraham, Cheryl Matzke, Neil Knaack
Members Absent: none
Others Present: Delray Sparby, Carol Seeger
The meeting was called to order at 5:40 p.m.
Matzke moved, seconded by Brevik, to approve the Agenda as presented.
On vote being taken, the motion was unanimously passed.
NEW BUSINESS
Ingraham moved, seconded by Brevik, to go into closed session for the purpose of discussing strategy with our legal counsel related to the city’s negotiations with Bolton & Menk in regard to contested engineering charges.
On vote being taken, the motion was unanimously passed.
There were no members of the general public at the open meeting session or that appeared at any time during the closed session.
Matzke moved, seconded by Brevik, to move back to an open meeting.
On vote being taken, the motion was unanimously passed.
The open meeting reopened at 6:26 p.m.
Ingraham moved, seconded by Matzke, to authorize attorney Robert Hoy to present a counter proposal in the amount of $335,000 to Bolton & Menk.
On vote being taken, the motion was unanimously passed.
The meeting adjourned at 6:28 p.m.
