Snowmobiles
Old Ordinance: Were prohibited from operating in business
district and on certain streets.
New Ordinance: No restrictions on streets, clearer
language on sidewalk restrictions. 15 mph speed limit. Everything
else stays the same and is covered by state law. 12 y/o - 14y/o operation
rules still fall under state statute.
Golf Carts
Old Ordinance: Illegal to operate anywhere
New Ordinance:

$10.00 annual city
license for each vehicle, covers all licensed operators

Must have liability
insurance
-
Daylight hours only
-
No sidewalks
(excluding golf course to Dow Ave)

No bike path
(excluding 1st Street to Harren Drive to allow North-South travel)

License will be
valid on any city street or alley

Must display slow
moving vehicle sign (Thompson's will stock them)

Must have valid
drivers license
-
Can cross Hwy #32 but
can not operate on Hwy #32

Can be used for
regular transportation

ATV's:
